Eke Wednesday 22 July 2020:
Igbo leaders are destroying their children all over again. Igbo leaders are offering their children again as mass sacrifices to other Nigerians.
That, of course, is the right way to interpret the nonchalance of Igbo leaders as President Buhari and his fellow Fulani leaders strategize to have their HausaFulani political bloc takeover Igboland; the way their Moslem Fulani mentors sacked Hausa and other northern lands in early 1800s.
Where are our Igbo leaders now we need them like never before?
Where are Senator Arthur Nzeribe, Commodore Ebitu Ukiwe, General Ike Nwachukwu, Rear Admiral Ndubuisi Kanu, Chief Emmanuel Iwuanyanwu, Ambassador Emeka Anyoku, Rear Admiral Allison Madueke, Chinweizu, Dr. Okwesilieze Nwodo, Professor Michael Echeruo, etc?
Going by the Fulani violence in Igboland, the hybernation of our Igbo leaders is escalating our defeat. As a matter of fact, their invisibility is making President Buhari and his tribal Fulani ethnic cleansers invincible.
Why are our leaders on awol as Fulani Islamic fighters infiltrate Igboland ahead of beheading and disembowelling Ndi Igbo, like they did without any consequence whatsoever between 1966-1970?
Why have other Igbo leaders abandoned Professor Ben Nwabueze, Chief Nnia Nwodo, Governors Jim Nwobodo and Chukwuemeka Ezeife, etc. to weather the twin tornadoes of Fulani and IPOB terrorisms in Igboland?
Who taught them to be nonchalant now it’s their turn to save their embattled ethnicity? Nobody!
Zik crossed the Atlantic Ocean 40+ times to save his ethnicity, even though he had been booed out at the Enugu Constituent Assembly for vehemently rejecting the Biafra idea.
Dick Tiger, Professor Kenneth Dike, Dr. Pius Okigbo, Chinua Achebe, Christopher Okigbo, etc. rejected livelihoods outside Eastern Region and stepped foward to slug the war out with their people, etc.
Nigerians such as Joe Achuzia and his fellow Anioma leaders mobilized their people to be on the side of their brothers and sisters when they didn’t have to.
Those are the antecedents that won’t exonerate today’s awol Igbo leaders. Ebitu Ukiwe and co. have no reason whatsoever to be grave-silent to our SOS.
As soon as Muhammadu Buhari, Shehu Shagari, and other northern leaders saw President Obasanjo’s move to humble HausaFulani, they incited and promoted their sharia penal code in unison to resist Obasanjo.
Gani Fawehnmi, Wole Soyinka, Anthony Enahoro, Beko Ransome-Kuti Fela Kuti, Olubunmi Okogie, Olusegun Obasanjo, Oladipo Diya, Oba Sijuwade, MKO Abiola, etc. fought us at all times and fought for their Yoruba filiation most gallantly during the so-called June 12 struggle.
This Revolution, therefore, calls on Igbo leaders to step to the plate to empower their elite and masses to neutralize Fulani Islamist guerrillas in Igboland!
If Igbo comes to grief again, neither Nnamdi Kanu nor Ralph Uwazurike will be blamed.
The blame must be placed on the Igbo leaders.
